Abhishek Bachchan Shares Shah Rukh Khan's Career Advice That Guides Him

Abhishek Bachchan Discusses Shah Rukh Khan's Guidance

Abhishek Bachchan has shared that Shah Rukh Khan has played an important role in his professional journey and remains a source of guidance. Ahead of the film King, Abhishek recalled a piece of advice he received from Khan before making his acting debut: an actor should always consider the film they are currently working on as their favorite.

Speaking to the BBC Asian Network, Abhishek reminisced about playing cricket on Sundays at filmmaker Aditya Chopra’s house alongside Uday Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, and Sikandar Kher, with Shah Rukh Khan acting as an "elder brother" to the group. Abhishek stated that Khan has maintained a strong supportive role in his career, noting that Khan has "literally taken personal responsibility several times now, including in King as well."

Details on the Upcoming Film King

King is directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Gauri Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment alongside Siddharth and Mamta Anand’s Marflix Pictures. The action thriller stars Shah Rukh Khan and features Suhana Khan in her theatrical debut playing a young protege trained by a veteran assassin. The cast also includes Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Arshad Warsi. Reports have suggested Kareena Kapoor Khan may appear for a dance number. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on December 24, 2026.

Abhishek was last seen in Kaalidhar Laapata on ZEE5, directed by Madhumita, and also expressed interest in a "Kajra Re" 2.0 while recalling the original shoot.
