Abhishek Pathak Discusses Drishyam 3 and Its Conclusion

Director Abhishek Pathak has discussed the responsibility of concluding the Drishyam franchise with the third instalment, stating that the film needed to take its characters forward and provide a meaningful end to their journey.

Speaking about the project, Pathak explained that the film could not simply be another sequel. According to the director, writing the complex story took a significant amount of time to ensure the conclusion felt earned. He noted that the franchise would not continue into a fourth part, stating that it had to end on a very good note.

Pathak also highlighted the balance between maintaining continuity with the first two films and establishing a new identity for the third instalment. The production team reviewed details from the earlier films to bring back elements that create a sense of nostalgia and connection. At the same time, Pathak wanted to write the final chapter in his own way, keeping the world and DNA of Drishyam intact while taking the story forward through his own creative vision.
