Alia Bhatt Highlights Mijwan Charity Fashion Show in Custom Manish Malhotra Design
Alia Bhatt appeared at the Mijwan charity fashion show, which marked 15 years of collaboration between couturier Manish Malhotra and the Mijwan Welfare Society, spearheaded by Shabana Azmi. The event brought cinematic glamour together with grassroots artistry to empower female artisans from rural India.
Walking the ramp, Alia wore a custom ivory georgette saree paired with a flowing organza veil that featured scalloped borders and delicate lace motifs. The ensemble showcased fine Chikankari needlework and tonal thread accents, anchored by a pleated micro-corset blouse. Styled by Rhea Kapoor and Sanya Kapoor, the look was completed with Manish Malhotra Jewellery, including an heirloom choker set with uncut diamonds and strung with over 310 carats of cascading pearls, alongside an understated maang tikka, delicate earrings, and ornate haathphools.
The charity runway featured soundscapes by electronic duo Lost Stories, and the show was supported by Manta Goyal and presented by L'Oréal.
