Amit Trivedi Reveals He Cried While Working on Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu Due to Creative Clashes
Music composer Amit Trivedi opened up about facing a reality check and crying while working on the 2012 film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, starring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, due to conflicting feedback from director Shakun Batra and producer Karan Johar.
Music composer Amit Trivedi recently shared details about his early career and the reality check he experienced while working on the 2012 film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, which starred Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Reflecting on his early projects, Trivedi noted that his music for films like Dev D, Aamir, and Udaan was accepted easily without rejections, leading him to believe the industry worked that way. However, his experience changed when he entered mainstream Bollywood with Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, directed by Shakun Batra and produced by Karan Johar.
Trivedi explained that every song he submitted faced challenges, stating that if Shakun Batra liked a track, Karan Johar would not, and vice versa. The conflicting feedback left him confused and feeling vulnerable.
The composer admitted that the situation caused him to feel sad, experience self-doubt, and even cry as he questioned his musical abilities. However, he also recognized his past success with hit songs from previous projects during this period of uncertainty.
