Amitabh Bachchan Discusses His Simple Wedding With Jaya Bachchan on Kaun Banega Crorepati

During an appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18, Amitabh Bachchan shared details about his low-key wedding with Jaya Bachchan. Speaking with contestant Aheli Roy from Kolkata, the veteran actor discussed how the decision to marry was made simply and quickly.

Amitabh recalled that he told Jaya they should get married, she agreed, and the arrangement was finalized without extensive discussions. According to the actor, after Jaya informed her parents, the families met briefly, and the wedding took place the following day. He expressed the view that elaborate wedding preparations, dates, clothes, and bands are unnecessary.

During the interaction, Amitabh also praised Aheli for her cheerful nature, individuality, and her choice to live according to her own preferences rather than societal expectations.
