Anil Kapoor Gets Emotional Remembering Late Friend Satish Kaushik on India Ke Top 1%

Anil Kapoor Remembers Satish Kaushik on India Ke Top 1%

Anil Kapoor revisited memories of the late actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik during an upcoming episode of India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show. The host reflected on their long-standing friendship and deep personal bond after interacting with a contestant named Gagan, whose appearance reminded people of Satish.

Gagan shared that people frequently compared him to Satish Kaushik and recalled meeting the late actor in Delhi during the shoot of the television show Sumit Sambhal Lega. This prompted Anil to discuss their closeness and shared history, stating that a 70-minute shoot would not be enough to tell all their stories. Anil also mentioned that Satish used to praise his talent and that he affectionately nicknamed him 'Danny DeVito'.

Reflecting on their connection, Anil stated, “Agar mera koi judwa bhai ban sakta hai, toh woh sirf Satish tha, kyunki usko mere baare mein har cheez pata thi mera gussa, meri khushi, har cheez (If I could have a twin brother, it could only have been Satish, because he knew everything about me—my anger, my happiness, everything).” He noted that they shared a fondness for the film Twins and often imagined playing twin brothers.

The episode also featured a tribute to Satish's comic legacy when Anil and Gagan recreated the memorable dialogue, “Mera naam hai Calendar, main chala kitchen ke andar!” Appreciating the gesture, Anil told the contestant that he had won his heart. Bringing a touch of humour to the emotional conversation, Anil suggested that anyone with the budget to make a film inspired by Twins should cast him and Gagan as twin brothers.

India Ke Top 1% – The Anil Kapoor Show airs on Star Plus every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM and streams on JioHotstar.
