Anirudh Surya Opens Up About Lust Stories 3, Working With Vikramaditya Motwane, and Sharing Screen Space With Konkona Sen Sharma

Anirudh Surya, previously seen in the show Kanneda, stars in the anthology Lust Stories 3. The instalment features stories directed by different filmmakers, exploring themes of intimacy, relationships, desire, and social norms.

The project allowed Anirudh to reunite with filmmaker Vikramaditya Motwane, having previously worked with his production Decoupled. Describing Motwane as a true collaborator, Anirudh praised his meticulous attention to detail and the freedom he gives actors to interpret scenes.

Anirudh filmed his portion at a resort in Lonavala over a two-day schedule. He expressed admiration for his co-actors—Konkona Sen Sharma, Vijay Varma, Radhika Apte, and Abhishek Banerjee—calling them stalwarts who demonstrate that acting is a honed skill.

Sharing screen space with Konkona Sen Sharma was especially meaningful for Anirudh, who recalled watching her in Page 3 during his school years and always finding himself rooting for her performances. He also shared his long-standing admiration for Radhika Apte, dating back to when he saw her in Shor in the City.

Discussing the talking point of Motwane's segment, its intentionally open-to-interpretation ending, Anirudh noted that the sequence was about vibing with Konkona, the lights, the music, and the atmosphere. Following the release, Anirudh reported receiving positive responses, messages, and calls from people regarding Motwane's segment and its climax.
