Ansh Duggal Discusses Stepping Out of His Comfort Zone for Nakhrewaalii

Stepping Into a New Role

Audiences previously enjoyed Ansh Duggal as the charming and innocent Dhruv in Don’t Be Shy. The dynamic young actor now takes on a challenging and comical role as Sumit in his upcoming film, Nakhrewaalii.

For Ansh, wearing a skirt for the film involved much more than a mere change in appearance. It meant challenging his own perceptions and discovering an entirely new perspective.

Overcoming Vanity and Self-Consciousness

The actor admits that his transformation proved harder than expected. He recalls the unfamiliarity of looking into the mirror and barely recognizing himself, noting that the experience required him to strip away all vanity and let go of self-consciousness.

Ansh shared, “I went into this film thinking I was going to play a woman. I came out of it understanding a little more about what it means to be one.”

Meaningful Transformation

The actor expresses pride in being part of a story that may encourage audiences to view everyday experiences differently. By taking on a role that challenged both his appearance and perspective, Ansh found that the most meaningful transformation went beyond what audiences see on screen.

Nakhrewalli is scheduled to release in theatres on 30th October. Additionally, Akshay Kumar recently wished Ansh Duggal after watching the film's trailer, saying, “Mahadev karen tu bohot bada star bane.”
