Anubhav Sinha Stresses the Need for More Films on Freedom Fighters and Mahatma Gandhi

Producer Anubhav Sinha has highlighted the importance for filmmakers to continue telling stories about Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters. Sinha stated that there should be one or two films made on Gandhi every year for the next 100 years, emphasizing that filmmakers have a responsibility to keep the stories of freedom fighters accessible to audiences.

Sinha's upcoming theatrical project is directed by Sudhir Mishra and stars Manoj Bajpayee as Mahatma Gandhi. The film explores a lesser-known 21-day period around India's independence when Gandhi moved away from the political centre in Delhi to reflect on his role and journey. The cast also features Saurabh Shukla in a key role, alongside veteran actor Waheeda Rehman, who is returning to the big screen after eight years.

The film is produced by Anubhav Sinha under Benaras Media Works alongside Narendra Hirawat and presented by NH Studioz.
