Anupam Kher Pays Tribute to Jeffrey Archer Following Author's Passing

Actor and author Anupam Kher paid tribute to celebrated British author Jeffrey Archer following his passing, sharing an old photograph and recalling a meaningful meeting between the two.

Kher, a longtime admirer of Archer's work such as Kane and Abel and Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less, met Archer at the Emirates Literature Festival in Dubai. During their encounter, Kher presented the acclaimed author with his debut book, The Best Thing About You Is You.

Reflecting on the photograph of the moment, Kher noted the significance of seeing Archer holding his book. Although an established actor and newly published author at the time, Kher described himself as simply an excited admirer beside him.

Kher also shared details of their conversation, remembering that when he asked what was most important for a writer, Archer emphasized "the importance of memory" and "imagination." Concluding his tribute, Kher thanked Archer for his stories, warmth, and kindness, offering condolences to Archer's family and readers.
