Ayushmann Khurrana Discusses Changing Definition of Stardom at FICCI Frames 2026

Ayushmann Khurrana stated that the definition of stardom in Bollywood has changed and is no longer limited to an exclusive club of mainstream film actors. He noted that the rise of social media personalities, influencers, and YouTubers has formed multiple entertainment spaces with their own stars and audiences.

Speaking on Tuesday in Mumbai at FICCI Frames 2026 during a session titled Cinema at Crossroads - The Rules of the Big Screen, Ayushmann appeared alongside filmmaker Sriram Raghavan and Denzil Dias, VP and Managing Director, India Theatrical at Warner Bros Discovery.

Ayushmann explained that audiences follow personalities across different platforms and formats, remarking that stardom has become relative and that the script has become the star. He also discussed his upcoming spy comedy, Udta Teer, stating that he is returning to his core genre of authenticity.
