Aasif Khan’s wife, Zeba, has broken her silence on the controversy surrounding the actor’s health after his confrontation with fellow Bigg Boss 20 contestant Qazi Touqeer. In a social media statement, Zeba revealed that Aasif suffered a massive heart attack at the age of 34 and explained why he initially described his health scare as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

The statement follows a heated argument between Aasif and Qazi over a remark about a heart attack. The disagreement escalated into a physical confrontation when Aasif headbutted Qazi, prompting wider discussion among viewers.

Addressing the backlash, Zeba stated that she felt compelled to speak publicly due to the accusations and abuse directed at her husband and family. Confirming his medical condition, she wrote, “Yes, Aasif had a heart attack. A massive one. At just 34.” She expressed distress over having to make his medical records public to prove the seriousness of his experience.

Zeba explained that Aasif initially attributed the health scare to GERD because he feared a serious cardiac condition could harm his career and future work opportunities. Recalling the severity of the incident, she mentioned being told his main coronary artery was completely blocked, his time in the ICU, receiving a stent, and his fear of losing his future. She also noted that the experience brought back painful memories of losing his father to a heart attack when Aasif was a child.

Furthermore, Zeba alleged that the family has faced severe online abuse, including death threats against Aasif and rape threats against the family. Questioning the hostility stemming from a reality television dispute, she urged viewers to distinguish criticism from personal attacks and called for empathy and kindness.
