Bipasha Basu Deletes Initial Comment on Deepika Padukone's Daughter's Name

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh announced the name of their second daughter, Devi Padukone Singh, on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. The announcement drew congratulatory messages from fans and film industry members, including Deepika's Bachna Ae Haseeno co-star, Bipasha Basu.

Responding to the announcement, Bipasha initially commented on Instagram, “So you were really serious when you told me you love the name Devi,” indicating that Deepika had previously shared her fondness for the name. After the remark drew social media attention, Bipasha deleted the comment and replaced it with a shorter message reading “Devi” alongside a red heart emoji.

The interaction highlighted a shared detail between the actresses. Bipasha and her husband, Karan Singh Grover, welcomed their daughter, Devi Basu Singh Grover, in November 2022. Deepika and Ranveer previously welcomed their first daughter, Dua Padukone Singh, in September 2024, before announcing their second daughter's name during the 2026 Dussehra celebrations.

Deepika and Bipasha previously appeared together in the 2008 romantic comedy Bachna Ae Haseeno, directed by Siddharth Anand and also starring Ranbir Kapoor, Minissha Lamba, and Kunal Kapoor.
