The 40-year-old Marianne von Gierke died on October 14, 2026. Chile's bodybuilding federation announced her passing without revealing the cause of death. Marianne had secured 13th place in the Mr. Olympia women's physique category just two weeks prior, having previously competed in 2024. She also leaves behind an 11-year-old son.
