Charlie Kirk’s mom addresses rumors of feud with Erika Kirk

American conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk was assassinated on September 10, 2025. Following his passing, his widow, Erika Kirk, became the CEO of Turning Point USA. Erika faced public criticism for resuming work and moving on. Charlie’s mother, Kathryn Kirk, spoke about Erika taking over the role at the nonprofit organization.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, Kathryn discussed the aftermath of the tragedy and the public scrutiny Erika experienced. Although the president of Turning Point USA’s University of Georgia chapter resigned in April 2026 and claimed the organization drifted from Charlie's vision under Erika, Kathryn stated that Charlie would have wanted Erika to take the position and would have been upset by the social media treatment she received.
