Christa Pike Considered Dead Twice During Botched Execution

The Christa Pike case took a shocking turn after she survived two botched execution attempts. Christa, a 50-year-old death row inmate in Tennessee, along with her then-boyfriend Tadaryl Shipp, committed a crime in 1995 by luring a classmate named Collin Slemmer to an isolated plot and killing her, leading to convictions for first-degree murder conspiracy.

After decades of detention, Christa Pike was ordered to be executed on September 30, 2026, by two fatal injections. The injections failed to kill her, and she is currently hospitalized. Updates indicate that during the procedure, she was laughing, singing, talking about her haters, exuded eccentric mannerisms while being injected with fatal doses of barbiturates, and was considered dead twice.
