Christa Pike, the only woman on death row in Tennessee, has shared a letter via her spiritual adviser days before her execution by lethal injection, stating she is at peace with her fate but nervous about the process.

Tennessee is preparing for the execution of Christa Pike, the only woman on death row in the state, after spending 31 years behind bars. Pike was sentenced to death for the 1995 killing of 19-year-old Colleen Slemmer when Pike was 18 years old.
In a letter shared with NBC News through her spiritual adviser, Pike stated that she was prepared for the possibility that her execution would go ahead and admitted she is nervous about the process, though she is at peace with her fate and grateful for support.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee denied a request for clemency from Pike's legal team, and Pike issued her handwritten letter before that response was made public.
