Christa Pike Survives Botched Execution
Christa Pike, a 50-year-old death row inmate in Tennessee, survived two botched execution attempts scheduled for September 30, 2026. She was previously convicted of first-degree murder conspiracy alongside her then-boyfriend, Tadaryl Shipp, for the 1995 killing of a classmate named Collin Slemmer. Following the failed lethal injections, Pike was hospitalized on a ventilator.
Dr. Joel Zivot, an anesthesiologist who previously examined Christa, spoke on TMZ's YouTube series, In The Know, hosted by Jakson, to discuss the possibility that her blood condition, thrombocytosis, may have helped her survive the lethal doses of pentobarbital.
