Collin Gosselin Claims to Have Proof of Abuse by His Mother

Collin Gosselin recently made explosive claims about the abuse he endured as a child at the hands of his former reality TV star mother, Kate Gosselin. In his memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood, slated for release on October 13, 2026, Collin makes these explosive claims.

During his recent appearance on Jay Shetty’s podcast, On Purpose, Collin revisited the abuse and revealed that he had proof to support his allegations that his mother, Kate Gosselin, locked him in a basement closet. Opening up about the same, Collin said:

It's not just like a bedroom where, you know, that's a part of the house that, you know, you just put your kid in, and you flip the lock around and lock them. She had a room specifically built in the storage part of our unfinished basement; it was cinder block walls and cement floors. [The room] was a full-effort operation of [Kate's] to silence me, and make sure I had no way to tell anybody what was going on.
