Devendra Fadnavis Praises Rajkummar Rao and Urges Viewers to Watch Prahaar
At the trailer launch of Prahaar, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis praised lead actor Rajkummar Rao and urged all Indians to watch the film based on Ujjwal Nikam.
Rajkummar Rao, Wamiqa Gabbi, Sikandar Kher, Lalit Prabhakar, Ritvik Sahore, producer Dinesh Vijan, and director Avinash Arun attended the trailer launch of their film Prahaar at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). Ujjwal Nikam, upon whom the film is based, was also present alongside Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who attended as the chief guest.
Devendra Fadnavis commended Maddock for making a film on an important topic, highlighting the role of the Indian police and justice system in handling the Ajmal Kasab case through evidence and witnesses rather than a kangaroo court.
Fadnavis thanked Ujjwal Nikam for ensuring a terrorist was hanged, exposing the conspiracy behind the terror attack, and establishing Pakistan's responsibility for state-sponsored terrorism. He noted that Nikam's work delivered justice to those who were martyred.
Addressing the cast and crew, Fadnavis hailed Rajkummar Rao as an accomplished actor and expressed confidence that the film would both entertain and deliver an important message. He also acknowledged producer Dinesh Vijan's work on Chhaava (2025).
Fadnavis concluded by stating he will watch Prahaar on October 16 and requested all countrymen to watch the film as well.
