Drishyam The Conclusion Writer Aamil Keeyan Khan Decodes Climax, Christopher Pinto's Death Date, and Writing Process

Drishyam The Conclusion writer Aamil Keeyan Khan opened up about the challenges of penning the final chapter of the franchise, living up to massive expectations, and cracking the all-important climax alongside co-writers Parveez Shaikh and director Abhishek Pathak.

Discussing the significance of Christopher Pinto's death date, Khan explained that November 18 was chosen by the direction team because the previous film released on that same day. Khan also shared that writing the final 30 to 40 minutes of the film was the most difficult task. According to Khan, in the Drishyam series, knowing what Vijay Salgaonkar does is never the primary issue, but rather how he does it that gives the audience a high.

Khan revealed that a monologue towards the end was one of the first things written during a trip to Goa to establish the script's direction. Additionally, the organic inclusion of a Pav Bhaji reference through Gaitonde, played by Kamlesh Sawant, was an idea from Abhishek Pathak aimed at tying into the franchise's strong pop-culture recall and annual memes.

The writer also made a brief cameo appearance in the film when an actor scheduled for the part could not make it on set. Meanwhile, Dr. Sharad Bhutadiya's character, Martin Uncle, was not included because the team consciously avoided scenes without a direct bearing on the main plot.

Reflecting on the conclusion of the series, Khan expressed a sense of relief and noted that the story is complete, signaling that the franchise should not continue further. Khan also expressed gratitude toward Ajay Devgn, Devgn Films, and Panorama Studios, praising the warmth and loyalty inspired by Ajay Devgn.
