Govinda Addresses Viral Lalbaugcha Raja Video With Roopa Co-Star Komal Rani and Responds to Criticism

Govinda has addressed the ongoing discussion surrounding a viral video of him visiting the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganpati pandal with actress Komal Rani, who stars as the leading lady in his upcoming film Roopa. The actor clarified that the visit was part of a promotional activity and noted that he has previously done similar outings with other leading actresses.

Speaking to ANI, Govinda explained, “Log toh aise react kar rahe hai… Main Roopa film ke liye prarthana kar raha tha. Main isse pehle Karisma (Kapoor) ke saath gaya tha, voh good luck raha tha mera, films hit hue thi. Raveena ke saath bhi gaya tha, film hit hue thi. Iss time main Rani ke saath gaya hu. Praarthana ki hai.” He also questioned the public focus on the outing, asking why it had become controversial and stating that there was no issue with it.

Actress-dancer Rakhi Sawant also reacted to the viral video through Instagram posts, urging Govinda to take his wife, Sunita Ahuja, to such public appearances instead. Appealing for reconciliation, Rakhi asked Govinda to spend time with Sunita and put the controversy behind him.
