Halle Berry has been in the headlines after her ex-husband, Oliver Martinez, accused her of physically harming their son, Maceo. In his filing, he alleged that the actress choked their 12-year-old son after an altercation with him while he was playing a virtual-reality game.

In May 2024, Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez attended a co-parenting therapy session. According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE, Berry and Martinez began co-parenting with a coach to resolve disputes and conflicts between them in an effort to successfully co-parent for the sake of their son, Maceo.

The therapy included six individual sessions and six joint co-parenting sessions. Berry’s fiancé, Van Hunt, was also permitted to participate in the sessions. However, in August 2024, Berry alleged that Martinez stopped attending the sessions.
