Happy Birthday Ali Fazal: Why 2026 Stands Out in the Actor's Career

Ali Fazal has come a long way since his brief appearance as Joy Lobo in 3 Idiots. Over the years, the actor has worked across comedy, romance, crime dramas, and international productions. Celebrating his birthday on October 15, 2026, the year highlights his diverse filmography.

While Guddu Pandit from Mirzapur remains one of his most recognizable roles, his choices extend beyond the franchise. The release of Mirzapur: The Movie on September 4, 2026, brought the series to the big screen, grossing over Rs. 200 crores in India.

Veteran trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted, “Today, everyone is very selective about the kind of work they want to do and Ali has also been that way... I think he is one of the rare actors who has been able to break through in the west also.”

Fazal's career also includes the Fukrey franchise, Khamoshiyan, Happy Bhag Jayegi, Prassthanam, and international works like Victoria & Abdul and Death on the Nile. In 2026, he appears in the crime thriller Raakh as police officer J.P., the Partition-set period drama Batwara 1947, and the relationship-driven Lust Stories 3.

Reflecting on his versatility, Adarsh stated, “That’s a sign of a good actor that he is not repeating himself.”
