Hunkkaar: The Roar Premieres on JioHotstar
Hunkkaar: The Roar is a new crime thriller and courtroom drama series that premiered on September 25, 2026, on JioHotstar. The show features Aneet Padda in the lead role.
The series serves as a sobering courtroom drama about power, faith, and justice. The plot follows 17-year-old Meenu Rawat as she accuses revered spiritual leader Baapji of assault. Her complaint triggers a fierce battle across the police station, media, and courtroom in Kharganj.
Anchored by restrained performances from Aneet Padda, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Raghubir Yadav, the series examines how truth is negotiated, how survivors are judged, and the difficulties of pursuing justice when belief holds influence.
