Hunkkaar - The Roar Review

HUNKKAAR - THE ROAR is a hard-hitting courtroom drama inspired by real events. The story follows 17-year-old Meenu Rawat (Aneet Kaur Padda), who alleges that a prominent godman, Sunil Chakosi aka Baap ji (Raghubir Yadav), sexually assaulted her. Inexperienced police officer ACP Jasleen Singh Soin (Fatima Sana Shaikh) is given charge of the high-profile case. With no initial evidence and followers unwilling to speak against Baap ji, the matter reaches court where prosecutor Babban Rao Bhalerao (Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub) goes up against Govind Ved Prakash (Ram Kapoor).

Created by directors Karan Darius Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, the show places a strong emphasis on courtroom proceedings. The story and screenplay are penned by Karan Darius Kapadia, Heeraz Marfatia, and Sourabh Ratnu, while Ravinder Randhawa provides the dialogues.
