Actor and dialect coach Husne Shabnam discusses her experiences working with Amitabh Bachchan, Karisma Kapoor, and on projects like Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani and Lust Stories 3.
Actor and dialect coach Husne Shabnam recently discussed her career, including coaching megastar Amitabh Bachchan for an upcoming national ad campaign. Recalling her experience meeting Bachchan, she shared that he broke the ice by telling her, “Devi ji, aap maalik ho. Aap jo bologi, hum wahi karenge!” She also mentioned that they shared lunch and he noted that he is a son-in-law of Bengal.
Shabnam has worked across multiple notable projects. She acted in Tribhuvan Mishra CA Topper, appeared in the final segment of Lust Stories 3 directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, and worked as both an actor and dialect coach on Karisma Kapoor’s web series Brown. Describing Karisma Kapoor, Shabnam praised her warm demeanor and noted that Kapoor, alongside Shabana Azmi, would kindly ask everyone if they had eaten.
Reflecting on her work as a dialect coach, Shabnam discussed modifying Bengali dialogue during the edit sessions for Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (2023) to ensure it remained accessible to national audiences, a process she also experienced while working with Inaamulhaq in Pippa (2023).
Looking ahead, Shabnam is currently auditioning for acting roles, with a Hindi series titled Broken Souls starring Saurabh Sachdeva expected to release in a few months, and is also engaged in dialect coaching for an undisclosed renowned director.
