Jaideep Ahlawat Discusses Joining Drishyam The Conclusion

The Drishyam franchise is returning with its concluding chapter, Drishyam The Conclusion. Jaideep Ahlawat has joined the cast as SP Crime Branch officer Rajveer Singh Tomar and has spoken about stepping into an established cinematic universe and introducing a new character to an existing audience.

Discussing his approach to the film, Jaideep stated that entering a successful franchise requires understanding the world, its rhythm, and its specific tone. He noted that the franchise already has an established relationship with viewers through Vijay Salgaonkar, played by Ajay Devgn. Jaideep noted that he was conscious of entering a universe belonging to the audience, explaining that he had to approach Rajveer with an understanding of the existing world.

Addressing the pressure of joining a successful franchise, Jaideep noted that pressure is only useful before filming begins. Once on set, the focus shifts to doing justice to the moment.

Jaideep also discussed working with Ajay Devgn and Tabu, praising their approach to restraint. He stated that working with actors possessing a strong understanding of restraint removed the need to manufacture intensity, making his challenge to ensure Rajveer felt like he belonged in the world while making the audience question his impact.
