Jennifer Eckhart's Death Brings Focus to Former Legal Battle with Ed Henry

On September 21, 2026, TMZ reported that Jennifer Eckhart, a former Fox Business associate producer, had died at age 36. She was found dead at her home in Hobe Sound, Florida, on Saturday, September 19, 2026. A spokesperson confirmed to TMZ that the death was ruled a suicide. Following her passing, attention shifted to her legal battle with former Fox News colleague Ed Henry.

Details of the Passing and Lawsuit

According to a Martin County Sheriff's Office incident report, Jennifer Eckhart's mother found her dead in the bathtub with a large laceration and a knife by her side. Initial investigation revealed she had taken her own life.

Jennifer Eckhart had previously filed a civil lawsuit in 2020 against Ed Henry, alleging that he had sexually assaulted her while they both worked at Fox. She had worked at the network for seven years before leaving. The incident comes after Jennifer settled her lawsuit against Ed Henry, though there is no established connection between the lawsuit and her death.
