Karisma Kapoor Recalls Salman Khan Objecting to Her Outfit in 'Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge' on Koffee With Karan 9

Salman Khan and Karisma Kapoor discussed their long-standing camaraderie during an episode of Koffee With Karan Season 9, hosted by Karan Johar. Karisma revisited an incident from the sets of their 2000 comedy Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, recalling how Salman objected to one of her outfits while filming the song ‘Pyaar Dilon Ka Mela Hai’.

Speaking about their equation, Karisma admitted that they used to fight a lot, while Salman described their friendship as the ‘longest living affair’.

Recalling the shoot in Switzerland directed by David Dhawan, Karisma talked about her colorful off-shoulder outfit paired with a sheer skirt. She stated that she had put considerable effort into the look, but Salman was not convinced, asking her what she was wearing and refusing to film the scene unless she changed. Karisma then complained to director David Dhawan for help.

When Karan asked if Salman considered the outfit overtly sexy, Karisma explained that he thought it was too open and clingy. Salman clarified that the issue was the sheer skirt, whose opaque portion kept riding up during the shoot, requiring him to ask her to pull it down before every shot.

Karisma acknowledged that Salman had always been protective of her, adding another behind-the-scenes memory to their collaborations.
