While the singer has alleged that the store is lying about the bird not being for sale, the store has clarified that they never intended to sell the Singing Bird they have named Molly.

The singer shared her experience on X on October 10, 2026, and revealed that her experience at the store was straight out of Pretty Woman. In a lengthy post, Kelly explained that she drove all the way to Brooklyn to check out Art of Play, as she thought that it was really 'rad'.
