Khel Khel Mein Features Textbook Stories Adapted for Theatre

An overview of the theatrical presentation Khel Khel Mein, featuring adaptations of stories from school textbooks directed with the Theatre in Education company.

Khel Khel Mein presents a theatrical adaptation of stories selected from children's school textbooks. The production features works by various authors, brought to the stage under the guidance of Prof. Devendra Raj Ankur with the Theatre in Education (TIE) company.

The featured stories include Shiv Kumar’s ‘Marta Kya Na Karta’, which follows a kind-hearted priest named Vishnu Potti and his wife Lakshmi; three short stories by Asghar Wajahat titled ‘Sher’, ‘Char Hath’, and ‘Sajha’; and Amarkant’s ‘Bahadur’, originating from the class 10 Hindi textbook ‘Godhuli’.

Prof. Devendra Raj Ankur, a former Director of the National School of Drama and recipient of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, shares that the presentation aims to reinforce the concept of Theatre in Education, engaging primarily with children who have read these stories as part of their studies.
