Khul Rah Gail Khidki Ke Ago Pala
Janeshwar is a lower-class, indebted family member living in a village. After taking a loan to educate his son, Nageshwar, he expects him to join the army. Nageshwar marries Anandi, but war breaks out on the border shortly after, and Nageshwar returns to duty two days after arriving on leave. He never returns. His old mother goes mad waiting and leaves. The moneylender, Kamleshwar, and the village head attempt to molest Anandi, and Janeshwar is falsely accused of having an illicit relationship with her. Anandi gives birth to a child conceived during her husband's leave. When villagers attempt to expel them for having an illegitimate child, Anandi stands firm with the truth, faces oppression, fights for survival, drives everyone away, and resolves to send her child to the army. The play depicts women's dignity, patriotism, the relevance of war, and human insensitivity against the backdrop of war.
