Koffee With Karan Season 9 Premieres at No. 1 on JioHotstar Across India, UK, Canada and Singapore

Hotstar Specials’ Koffee with Karan Season 9, described as the chat show’s final season, has launched to a strong response by trending at No. 1 on JioHotstar across India, the UK, Canada and Singapore. The premiere also generated conversations across social media platforms including X and Instagram.

The season premiere featured Salman Khan as the sole guest, where he discussed his personal life, expressed a desire to have children someday, explained his preference for privacy, and mentioned sharing his bedroom with a mysterious, other-worldly presence. He also recalled offering to appear in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai without charging a fee due to his affection for Yash Johar.

The episode featured a surprise appearance by Karisma Kapoor, who hosted the rapid-fire round. Salman and Karisma engaged in light-hearted exchanges, with Salman referring to her as his longest living affair and recalling a shooting-day prank.

Alok Jain, Head of Hindi & English Entertainment Business (Streaming, TV & Studios) at JioStar, noted the performance of the homegrown IP. Season 9 also marks the first Indian collaboration for The Peacock Hub, representing the initial partnership between NBCUniversal and JioHotstar on a homegrown show.

Host and creator Karan Johar stated that opening the final season with Salman and Karisma felt like flipping through an old family album, and expressed excitement over the viewership in the UK, Canada and Singapore.
