Reflecting on her connection to the vehicle, Ray shared that she has never been interested in taking the conventional route in life, career, or her choices. She noted that her journey has included crossing continents and cultures, working as an actor, surviving cancer, and reinventing herself as a writer, entrepreneur, and advocate.

Ray drew a parallel between the Defender’s ability to navigate unexpected terrain and her own experiences across various professional and personal phases. She emphasized that going beyond the ordinary involves the courage to question what is possible.
