Madonna's Past Alleged Affair With Alex Rodriguez Resurfaces Following VMAs Appearance
Madonna's past alleged affair with Alex Rodriguez has resurfaced, which reportedly served as the final straw in his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis.
Queen of pop Madonna made headlines at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) as an opening ceremony act, for her pantless outfit, and for tying Lady Gaga's record with 13 nominations in a single night.
Following her VMAs appearance, past controversies resurfaced, including an alleged affair with baseball shortstop Alex Rodriguez, nicknamed A-Rod, who was 18 years her junior. The MLB player connected with the pop star after her manager, Guy Oseary, began managing the New York Yankees slugger in December 2007, allowing the two to get to know each other better.
Madonna and A-Rod's alleged affair reportedly served as the final straw that ended his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis. Madonna was also married at that time.
