Mary Kom Faces Criminal Defamation Case Filed by Ex-Husband Onler

Onler moves to court against Mary Kom
Olympic boxing icon Mary Kom is facing a criminal defamation case filed by her ex-husband, Karung Onkholer, better known as Onler Kom, nearly three years after their divorce. The legal action follows a series of public allegations and counter-allegations between the former couple.
Onler has filed the criminal defamation case against the boxer under Section 356 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). He alleges that Mary Kom made false and damaging statements about him on television and other public platforms. The next hearing for the case is scheduled for November 19, 2026. Meanwhile, Mary Kom is currently inside the 'Bigg Boss' Season 20 house.
