Matthew Perry, known for his role as 'Chandler Bing' in Friends, is the subject of Netflix’s upcoming docu-series The One About Matthew Perry. The actor passed away at the age of 54 on October 28, 2023, due to the acute effects of ketamine.
In the new documentary, Matthew’s sister, Mia Perry Bowick, opened up about his long struggle with addiction and his efforts to stay sober and off drugs. She revealed that he spent USD 7 million on his recovery, stating:
"All great stories have comedy and tragedy in them, and that certainly was Matthew's story. My brother would talk about that feeling of emptiness or loneliness that he couldn't quite fill. He spent USD 7 million trying to get sober. That's how seriously he took his disease."
