Michael Douglas Opens Up in New Memoir

Michael Douglas disclosed in his new memoir, One Helluva Ride, that he and his Romancing the Stone co-star, Kathleen Turner, were secret lovers. According to Douglas, the pair maintained the secret for four decades.

Filming Romancing the Stone

Douglas revealed that he and Turner fell for each other during the making of the 1984 film Romancing the Stone in Mexico. At the time, Douglas was separated from his then-wife, Diandra Douglas, with whom he shares a son named Cameron.

In the action-comedy, Douglas served as a producer and played adventurer 'Jack Colton.' He initially wanted Debra Winger for the lead role, but after that did not work out, he had lunch with Turner, who secured the role of New York City journalist 'Joan Wilder.'
