Milap Zaveri Discusses Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Anniversary, Controlled Budgets, and Industry Success

Writer-director Milap Zaveri recently reflected on the journey of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat (2025), starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, as the film approaches its first anniversary on October 21. The team recently gathered for an organic reunion and musical night at producer Anshul Garg's office to reminisce about the project.

Recalling the release period, Zaveri shared that the film faced anticipation and excitement amid a unique Tuesday release date, driven by marketing efforts from Anshul Garg and Raghav Sharma, popular music, and viral dialogues. Zaveri credited the strong belief of cast and crew members including Harshvardhan Rane, Anshul Garg, Gaurav Verma, Aman Gill, and Shaad Randhawa.

Addressing the business side of filmmaking, Zaveri emphasized the importance of controlled budgets, pointing to Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Hanuman Ansh, and the Hollywood film Obsession as examples of reasonably budgeted projects delivering quality results. According to Zaveri, the biggest issue in the industry is the wastage of money, noting that teams should spend where required without unnecessary expenses.

Zaveri praised producer Anshul Garg for supporting smart production choices—such as shooting locations in Chandigarh, Manali, and a real palace in Rajasthan—while also commending the cast and crew, including actors Harshvardhan Rane, Sonam Bajwa, and Shaad Randhawa, for completing the shoot efficiently within 35 days.
