Mohanlal Praises Ajay Devgn Starrer Drishyam The Conclusion

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has shared his reaction to the Ajay Devgn-starrer Drishyam The Conclusion, praising the film for providing a befitting end to the Hindi thriller franchise. Mohanlal, who played Georgekutty in the original Malayalam films, posted a video message on social media after watching the movie, which arrived in theatres on October 2.

In his video message, Mohanlal congratulated director Abhishek Pathak, producer Kumar Mangat Pathak, Ajay Devgn, and the entire cast and crew. Star Studios, the production banner associated with the film, later reshared the video on its official social media channels to thank the actor for his kind words.

The Drishyam franchise began with the 2013 Malayalam film starring Mohanlal, which inspired remakes in multiple Indian languages, including the Hindi adaptations starring Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar. While the Malayalam series continued with its own third film, the Hindi version was conceived as a definitive conclusion directed by Abhishek Pathak and produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak.

The film released during the Gandhi Jayanti festive period and benefited from positive word-of-mouth and strong theatrical interest, eventually collecting Rs. 65 crore in its second weekend. Mohanlal's endorsement marks a notable acknowledgment from the star who originally brought the foundational character to life.
