New Poster Unveiled for Anjali Patil's Selvi Ahead of Busan Premiere

A new poster has been released for the Tamil drama Selvi, starring Anjali Patil, ahead of its world premiere at the 31st Busan International Film Festival.

Ahead of its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival, the makers of Selvi have unveiled a new poster featuring National Award-winning actor Anjali Patil in the titular role. The Tamil-language drama is one of two Indian films selected for the Vision – Asia section at the 31st Busan International Film Festival.

Directed by debut filmmaker Sailesh Rathnakumar, Selvi follows Selvi, a migrant home-care nurse working demanding shifts in the homes of wealthy families. The narrative begins as a story about migration, female friendship, and caregiving before shifting into a psychological thriller exploring memory and survival as details of an incident from her past emerge.

The new poster's imagery was based on an idea by Anushka Madhavan, developed by Sailesh, and given final treatment by Shree Teertha. Anjali Patil, who stars in and produces the film, expressed excitement about taking the project to Busan and sharing it with an international audience.

The film's crew includes nine-time National Award-winning editor A. Sreekar Prasad and National Award-winning sound designer Anand Krishnamoorthi. The principal cast also features Archana Padmini and Vinoth Kishan. Selvi is co-produced by the Red Sea Fund and supported by Hong Kong Asia Film Financing, with its world premiere scheduled for this October.
