Nita Ambani's Ashavali Saree Took Months to Make

Nita's attires honour the intricate history of the country's textiles, often bringing long-forgotten heritage weaves of India to the national and global stage. For the first anniversary of Swadesh—an artisan-focused retail and cultural initiative helmed by Nita Ambani—she wore one of the rarest and most complex weaves from Gujarat.

For the occasion, she wore an Ashavali brocade saree by Royal Brocades, a brand launched by a third-generation weaver and textile revivalist Paresh Patel.
