Prahaar Director Avinash Arun Explains Casting Ritvik Sahore Alongside Rajkummar Rao

With Prahaar: The Untold Story of Ujjwal Nikam scheduled to release in theatres on October 16, director Avinash Arun has discussed the casting of Ritvik Sahore as Aniket Nikam, the son of Rajkummar Rao’s character Ujjwal Nikam.

Casting director Anmol Ahuja suggested Sahore for the role, a choice that Arun immediately felt was right. Arun praised Sahore as an honest, earnest, and sensitive actor who is thorough with his craft.

In the film, Rajkummar Rao stars as special public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam, with Sahore playing his son, establishing a personal thread in a story inspired by Nikam's professional journey and high-profile legal cases. Sahore's career includes past roles as a child actor in Ferrari Ki Sawaari and Dangal, alongside appearances in web series and films such as Flames, Indori Ishq, Campus Diaries, and Jamnapaar.

The film is directed by Avinash Arun, whose previous work includes Killa and Three of Us.
