Preity Zinta Recalls Early Film Industry Challenges and Support from Shah Rukh Khan

Preity Zinta recently discussed the challenges she faced when entering the film industry, noting that newcomers had fewer avenues to get noticed compared to today. According to the actress, finding work previously required personal connections, whereas modern actors can be discovered online, submit home auditions, and work with casting directors.

Reflecting on her journey, Preity acknowledged the support she received from various individuals. She recalled that Bobby Deol recommended her audition to another director, and stated that numerous people inside and outside the industry helped her along the way.

The actress also shared memories of working with Manisha Koirala and Shah Rukh Khan early in her career. She described Manisha Koirala as gracious, generous, and beautiful during the making of Dil Se…, and noted that Shah Rukh Khan taught her technical aspects such as how to stand and maintain eye line.

Preity made her acting debut in the 1998 film Dil Se… alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Manisha Koirala, later taking on a variety of roles in Hindi cinema. Her reflections emphasize both the changing landscape for newcomers and the importance of the support she received.
