Rakesh Bedi Speculates on Extortion in Tiger Shroff Firing Incident and Urges Government Action

Rakesh Bedi Reacts to the Tiger Shroff Firing Incident

Actor Rakesh Bedi has expressed shock over the firing incident involving Tiger Shroff in Mumbai and called on authorities to take steps to ensure the safety of people in the film industry. Bedi speculated that extortion could be a possible motive behind the attack, while stressing that the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.

Speaking to Times Now, Bedi mentioned that he knew Tiger's father, Jackie Shroff, personally and had worked with him, describing both as non-controversial people. Bedi also noted he had no idea about Tiger's connection or whether he was going to work with Salman Khan in a film.

Speculation on Motives and Call for Government Action

During the interview, Bedi suggested that money could be a factor behind the firing, raising the possibility of extortion or ideological differences where individuals target people they believe do not share their views. The official motive has not been established, and the police investigation is ongoing.

Emphasising that the incident should be treated as a serious law-and-order concern involving actual gunfire, Bedi urged the police, government, and relevant agencies to determine what can be done to maintain confidence in the film industry and law and order in the city.

Details of the Incident

The incident occurred around 7 pm as Tiger Shroff was leaving Pushpa Narsee Park after playing football. Three motorcycle-borne assailants allegedly opened fire at his BMW, with at least five rounds reportedly fired at the vehicle.

Tiger escaped without gunshot injuries but sustained minor abrasions. His driver and a bystander were injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
