Ram Gopal Varma Reacts to Tiger Shroff Firing Incident in Mumbai

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has reacted to the firing incident involving actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai, describing the event as a “never before seen phenomenon.” Varma suggested on social media that the unidentified assailants may have been driven by “vanity and pride” rather than traditional criminal motives such as extortion or contract murders.

The incident occurred on the evening of October 18, 2026, when Tiger Shroff was leaving a football ground in Juhu in his car. Unidentified men on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds at the vehicle. The actor escaped without gunshot wounds but sustained minor injuries from gunpowder and glass shards. His driver and a bystander were also injured.

Following the attack, three suspects were detained or arrested in Kota, Rajasthan, on October 19 while traveling by train. Reports indicated the suspects included individuals from Haryana and Bihar. While social media claims have linked the incident to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, police have not officially verified this connection, and the motive remains unconfirmed as the investigation continues.

Actor Suniel Shetty also reacted to the incident, stating that the attack “could happen to anyone” and stressing the need for safety.
