Ranbir Kapoor Apologizes for Slip of Tongue at Ramayana Event in Chennai
Ranbir Kapoor addressed a recent slip of tongue from a Dussehra event during the musical promotional event for Ramayana in Chennai.
Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, Ravie Dubey, producer Namit Malhotra, director Nitesh Tiwari, and music maestro A R Rahman attended the musical event for their film Ramayana in Chennai. A R Rahman performed the songs of the film for the audience. During the event, Ranbir Kapoor addressed a goof-up he made the previous day at a Dussehra event in Kolkata during Ramayana promotions, where a viral video of his statement led to trolling.
Opening his speech with a greeting to Chennai and expressing gratitude for the love and energy, Kapoor spoke about the film connecting people through love, faith, and culture. He also shared his previous collaborations with A R Rahman on Rockstar and Tamasha, calling the current opportunity to collaborate on Ramayana a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Addressing the previous day's incident, Kapoor apologized for his slip of tongue, clarifying what he intended to say regarding truth and goodness. He referenced his song from Rockstar, quoting, “Jo bhi main kehna chahoon, barbaad karein alfaaz mere!”, and offered a sincere apology.
Ramayana is scheduled to release in cinemas worldwide on November 5.
