Rani Mukerji and Kal Penn Attend Sabyasachi’s Diwali Reception at The Met in New York

Rani Mukerji and Kal Penn shared a warm moment at designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s star-studded Diwali reception at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) in New York City. The gathering brought together figures from cinema, fashion, and business.

Kal Penn, known for his roles in Harold & Kumar and The Namesake, shared a photograph with Rani Mukerji on Instagram from the event.

Rani Mukerji wore a fluid, liquid-grey satin saree with a matching sleeveless blouse featuring a plunging V-neckline. She accessorized with black, thick-rimmed square glasses, a silver-embellished mini chain bag, and subtle jewellery.

Designer and entrepreneur Masaba Gupta also attended, wearing a contemporary draped white skirt-saree with a red border, a structured white corset top, a multicoloured statement necklace, and a maroon Sabyasachi clutch. Entrepreneur Anjula Acharia was also spotted at the gathering.

Sabyasachi wore a black bandhgala jacket with ivory trousers and bright pink socks. The venue featured floral installations, cascading pomegranates, autumnal colours, a peacock display, and an elaborate grazing table.

The event followed Sabyasachi's flagship boutique expansion in New York and his return to New York Fashion Week.
