Rani Mukerji Visits Badrinath and Kedarnath Temples Following Mother's Passing

Actor Rani Mukerji visited the Badrinath Dham and Kedarnath temple in Uttarakhand on Thursday, October 8, following the passing of her mother, Krishna Mukerji. Videos of her temple visits circulated on social media, showing the actor offering prayers at the pilgrimage sites.

Rani arrived at Badrinath around noon to seek blessings and also visited a shrine dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi to receive prasad. Wearing a light-coloured kurta and salwar, a yellow scarf, a puffer jacket, and flower garlands, she was filmed participating in prayers with folded hands. Pilgrims and locals gathered around her to take pictures.

Earlier, videos of Rani visiting Kedarnath also surfaced online, showing her walking toward the shrine and posing outside. The actor was last seen in Mardaani 3.

The visits follow the death of Rani's mother, Krishna Mukerji, who passed away at the age of 75 on September 22, 2026. Yash Raj Films confirmed the news in an official statement, requesting privacy for the family during their grief.

Krishna Mukerji was a playback singer in Bengali cinema and maintained a close bond with her daughter, frequently accompanying her to public appearances.
